I'm Michele Karen Rumsey, the founder and owner of the long established Bromwylva Basset Hounds. I live in the beautiful small town of Llangollen in North Wales. Although based in the UK, I have sold paintings to the USA, and even as far as New Zealand! Originally inspired by Lowry in my childhood, and latterly some more modern artists of a similar genre, I create quirky, colourful, watercolour paintings, full of vibrancy and character. Combining my love of Basset Hounds, I hope to bring a smile to a room, with my crooked buildings housing unstable chimneys and sharing the skyline with scattered balloons. The flamboyant characters are often donning oversized boots on unstable bicycles, with vibrant umbrellas and flowing scarves. My paintings are depicted to create a happy, quirky and colourful atmosphere. I take on commissions which may include your own canine, whatever the breed.If you wish to have a more formal creation, I can even commission a unique painting of your very own property.
